I am very grateful for this group and you @Robbie for getting me off of ground zero! I have now become comfortable with the changes I have made and will continue to add new. It has gotten me to refocus and begin a forever journey toward better health and being a better person. I am down 17lbs total week ending 5 and heading in the right direction. Sofa time watching these crazy strong health athletes! Incredible strength and determination! Takes me back to when I was young and healthy. Played softball from the time I was old enough to pick up a glove and throw a ball. Volleyball running setter for years my second love. My sister and I would cut school and head to the beach and play anyone who dared! Bump Set Spike all day! Brought the basketball up the court as point guard and had a mean fast break! On the tennis court chasing down balls until the lights would go out at the rec center. Played anything well into my late twenties. As the years passed a few kids later played some ball on a couple church leagues and then I really don’t know what happened or when but I just stopped doing what I loved. No rhyme or reason. Just stopped doing what I loved. I want to get back in shape so I can enjoy these things again. God knows it has been years but this was my fun workout! I miss it! Goal- By the end of 2019 start of 2020 Find a team and play some sports again! Nothing highly competitive but something for fun!

Office- Donuts bagels candies from holiday! Dont even care today! My thoughts are being reset! I look and think 🤔 all those quick traps over the years have gotten me where I am and they are just not worth a second thought! Let’s just hope those trucks stay away! Lol Prepared keeps me strong! Don’t fall for the bait! Pack your CHUTE! (Grinning) It is just a trap folks! We Got This!

Prepared for the game. Ate ahead of time. Plenty of water and just in case Celery is on stand by! What are your replacement snack food [healthy]? Honestly TV and food can be dangerous. What do you do to be successful when you do find your self in front of a tv? I obviously try to move more and spend more time out side and read more. However, outside of avoid, [sometimes best] for example when there is something you do want to watch like the game tonight, what do you do to avoid the "usual" snacks?

What are you doing for your clean eating? Did you google a diet plan? Have you just incorporated what you have learned over the years and trying to stick to the 4 food groups? Counting calories? Or more extreme Macro's? Clean Eating? Do you throw out your dairy? Are you modeling it after a program you seen on the net or tv? I am just interested. There are many approaches and what ever is working for you is great. I am just researching and thinking. My approach is Keto. I am not trying to sell anyone on it. I am simply looking to discuss what works for you and new information while working on Keto. I have never done keto and have normally stuck to a very strict clean eating with very limited carbs, and dairy in the past. Focusing on fat free, low sugars, low everything for that matter it seemed and counting calories. So this is new to me. Incorporating fat but good fat back into your diet plan is a mentally challenging task for me because of the big fat explosion when I was in my teens. My sister got me focused on trying keto. She has lost 30lbs and is looking great. So I figured why not I haven't done this yet. She told me to watch on Netflix The magic pill. So last night I fell asleep to it, lol but mind you it was late and I new I wouldn't make it through it all. Just white noise to help me drown out my HUSBANDS SNORING! LOL @Robbie Any way what I did see and hear really made such clear logical sense! If you think about it back in the early years what were their habits? What was their diet? Was it full of carbs like our fast pace world has gotten to or was it more basic living from what the land provided. I challenge you to at lest watch it. It creates thought. Certainly makes you think. This world has changed so much over years and years sometimes getting back to basics you realized a lot of what you have learned based on media may have you so lost to what is good for you and what is not no wonder we feel lost and defeated. Simplify, modify and look for sound knowledge. That is all I am doing. Incorporating good fats all though it can be scary, FAT OMG!!!! is actually essential in a good healthy diet. It actually helps you lose the weight. I know right no one who is trying to lose weight wants fat in their diet? Wrong, you need good fats as well! Just food for thought. I am trying to eat as clean and organic as possible with my focus on low carbs and healthy fats. Cheese is my chocolate and everything is done in moderation and proper portion size. Incorporating the healthy fat is the mental challenge with my food plan. Going against the grain so to speak as I have always been very fat conscious of the fat content on labels. Training myself to Mind Set Reset on this is challenge! Let me know what you guys think about getting healthy and food?

Listening to the podcast with @Robbie and Hanna and thinking about the week. You guys we have made the first swim! You have been my Crate! Thank goodness you all came along and helped me with the first swim to safety! We all have kicked hard this week and have made it to another sunset almost a week later! Prior this community I was being swept away by life's current to a very lonely open sea of pity, self destruction, lack of focus, poor health and depression. Thank God I have found such a supportive place to start over! Reflecting on life and change where I have come from and where I am going. Thank you all for the support and a place to journey together. I can NOT do this alone and I know it. Thank you for coming to the island with me! WeGotThis

Well all that has been on my mind, really all year but heavily since Castaway has been my last journey with a new me and how hard I had worked to change my health only to throw it away yet again. The last 24 hours after joining this challenge all I can think about is trying to prepare myself both mentally for the struggle and fight to do this again. This morning I decided it was time to move. Really, why am I waiting to start? Why have I spent 2018 just thinking about it? I guess I spend so much time being overwhelmed of the task at hand I forget how to start. To start is to choose to start. Really that is all it is. I can't change everything in a day. Some days I will fail. I know this, but today I chose to start by moving. One step at a time ....today's goal my 10,000 steps. I am half way there. My intent was to go to the apartment gym and walk the treadmill for 30 min. Well my apartment fob did not work to let me in. So I chose to get my dog Jax and decided I would walk for 30 min around the apartment complex. My little 15lb muscle pulling me to a faster pace I realized 30 min was up! I thought Jax we got this, lets do another 30 min. So that is what we did. Upon realizing I have almost 5000 steps from just a hour of walking, I will again as I use to do, make sure today going forward I get my steps in at 10,000. So that is my start. My choices so far today. Movement, looking for 10,000 a day again. Looking forward to the next 6 weeks guys! #WeGotThis #GroundZero #TodaysChoice #Movement
