Feeling good today. Drove in from Charleston. Ate a good breakfast. Got home, and starving. Had some grilled chicken made, So I threw together a salad to get me through till dinner. Dinner comes, don't have anything prepared. Kids want Dairy Queen. Ya'll, it didn't even appeal to me! I sauted some squash and onion, and found some scallops in the freezer, so that's what I cooked, and it's SOOOOO good. Just so glad to make it so far through this day without giving in to fast food and junk ( haven't touched the 3 chocolate chip cookies left from the last bag) ! Winning! We Got This!

@Tracy Richardson Yes- honestly, I have not used to except to heat up things like Frozen french fries, chicken nuggets, etc... So much can be done with it, and I'm just starting to try out other things, but yes, it's great in the fact you don't have to use oil, and it makes things very crispy.

WINNER! Ya'll , my 9 year old, picky little girl, who needs to lose weight to, just asked to try the air fryer zucchini chips I made. She said " I"m scared". LOL. Then she tried them, and ate the rest . I said they are pretty good right, and she said, Oh, these are more than pretty good. These are awesome! Guess I'll be making a large batch of zucchini chips soon!

Robbie, do you put anything on them before cooking like Olive Oil or seasoning? Do you turn or do anything while cooking?

@Charity Bryan I too am a carb/sugar addict. I make sugarfree pudding for some after dinner desserts. Also, I love berries, so I will eat strawberries/blackberries/blueberries with a little bit of homemade coolwhip. I also discovered zucchini chips in the airfryer yesterday. I'll make the next batch in the oven, cause the airfryer can only cook a few at a time, but those were so good, and satisfied my salty snack. I ate the whole zucchini yesterday and felt guilty, like I was snacking so much, then looked up the calories, and the whole thing was only 33 calories! LOL

@mad6871 Looks good, but is that really all you ate? That can't be much calories for a whole day. Don't want you starving :(

@mad6871 I was thinking the same thing. We have water aerobics classes in my town- perfect for those with knee issues!

Was watching the Shawshank Redemption the other night, and a line in there struck a huge cord for me. Simply said was " Get busy living, or Get busy Dying". I wrote it down. It's so true. We have 2 choices. I want to get busy living.

Just made some Zucchini chips in the air fryer. Really good! But, only makes a very small batch at a time.

I'll give it a try, only cause you recommended it Robbie! LOL. Never been much of a Brussels sprout person. I've heard zucchini chips are good too. I"ll make some of those and update ya'll on how they are.

My struggle is in the night time. I can be great all day. I used to work at a hospital doing Ultrasound, but I now work from home for a group of Radiologists. I love being able to work from home, but I work evenings, and get bored around 9-12 in the evening and want to snack! I need some good snack ideas or ways of replacing my thinking so I don't snack at all. I need to be able to see the bigger picture and start focusing on that. On a positive note, I am turning my sunroom into a workout room. My son got a weightbench for Christmas, and I am buying myself a treadmill. Mounting a TV to the wall and plan on getting my daily walk in either on the treadmill or outside depending on the weather. I love this forum! Thanks Robbie!
